Electric Vehicles
  • Many fleets see the need to move to EV's for cost savings and reduction of CO2 emisions.  As you electrify your fleet, BBST is there to support you with future proof telematics from Geotab.
  • BBST has partnered with EV experts to provide consultancy on which vehicle are fit for purpose, charging infrastructure requirements and energy requirements for your depot or site.
  • Our EV Suitability Assessment offers recommendations by matching your existing fleet telematics data to real-world EV performance data. The EVSA analyses your fleet’s telematics data over a period of 1 to 3 months, and creates an electrification recommendation based on each vehicle’s distinctive driving patterns. Determine how your cost structure may change. Compare the scenario of replacing your vehicles with EVs to the scenario of replacing them with brand new non-EVs.
  • Identify which of your vehicles are the best candidates for replacement by EVs. Analysis includes vehicle type, range capability and projected savings. Insight into how much your fleet can reduce CO2 emissions and fuel consumption.

  • Range Assurance - Does the vehicle meet your drivers’ range requirements? - Is an overnight charge enough? - Will the battery still cover your required range in extreme weather conditions?
  • Review both fuel and EV energy usage. This helps answer questions such as the typical electric range and the performance of fleet EVs compared to fuel vehicles.
  • A complete charging history of your EVs shows you when and where the vehicles are charging, the length of time the vehicles were charging at a specific location, and how much of a charge they received. Use this report to get deeper insights into why EVs are at their current percent charge.
  • Now includes real-time data on battery charge percentage and charging status. Real-time battery charge percentage helps you identify which EVs in your fleet have the most (or least) battery charge so you can dispatch the nearest vehicle with enough battery charge to get the job done. Real-time charging status provides a view of which vehicles are actively being charged at any given time.
  • Notifications when the battery of a vehicle reaches critical level while on the road and needs to be charged. Prioritise charge order based on vehicles in the depot with the lowest charge level. Establish ‘no-charge time’ rules to eliminate charging during peak electricity rate times. If a vehicle is charged during the time, a notification can be sent to the fleet manager.
